I have it on good sources that Benton's statement is being misinterpreted - there's hope!

I'm waiting for permission to post information I received this morning, but I feel safe in saying that the inner message that people were interpreting from Benton's statement is correct. This was NOT a quitting statement.

When I find out more, I will post, but I think it's safe to say we're not going to Tampa just for the Ron Paul rally & to fill seats on the convention floor. I am always skeptical, but I think we're still in the game.

Ron Paul will NOT nominate himself. He feels it would be supremely egotistical if he did that. Instead, we delegates have to nominate him. Therefore, if you are going to Tampa, you must get informed as to what we are going to do there. It will be your responsibility when you get there, to hook up with the movement. There will definitely be an effort to nominate Ron. When he gets that nomination, according to the rules, he is supposed to be able to speak. Will the RNC change the rules? You can bet they will try, but we have to get justice for our candidate.

Ron is working on his speech for Sunday at the rally. Think of how important that speech is to him. I'm hoping it is just practice for the speech he will make in the convention hall when he is nominated.

We delegates must do ALL WE CAN, to convince Santorum & Gingrich delegates to vote for Ron as a strike against Romney/Ryan.

Just take a page from the Democrat 1960 convention. Johnson came in with the backing of the Pentagon, military and most of the Democrats.

Kennedy had only grassroot support. All of a sudden the people at the convention started to chant Kennedy, Kennedy, Kennedy and the rest is history!

Start practicing now.........Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul! Shout it to the rafters........let them hear us!

Make sure you use both his names ......don't want any confusion that you could be shouting Paul Ryan!

Johnson didn't even run in the primaries. He just tried to jump in at the end and convince delegates not to vote for Kennedy. He wasn't successful. He wasn't expected to win the nomination at any point.

senior moments. But, from what I can recall, there was a backlash from the South because of JFK being a Yankee AND a Catholic. Johnson as Veep was the result of a backroom deal. Joe Kennedy thought he'd won it all but, history tells us something very different. Apparently, other backroom deals were being made at the same time and we know the end result.
