It doesn't change anything...

I think it's good that Rand will get a chance to speak at the convention, but if they think that will actually get us to vote for the scum that is Romney and his Neo-con cancer, they are completely mistaken.

Romney will never, ever get my vote. EVER.

Never.

Besides Granger (we already know you love you some Romney)... Is anyone in here actually planning to vote for this clown?

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Let them THINK we will. We KNOW we won't.

It's all part of the game.

Back off on The Granger. Unlike you and me, she does not get the luxury of voting "in secret". Having joined a GOP committee in CA, she MUST cast her vote on paper which the GOP committee WILL SEE. If they see betrayal, she's toast. Granger has infiltrated the ranks and, like Rand, she has to tread carefully to be taken seriously by TPTB in order to get our Liberty Movement at the top of the heap. Make no mistake, she is 100% on our side!

I think Granger is a great person...

We've had many a spirated debate :-). I commend her for the simple fact that she is at least getting involved and that is exactly what we all should be doing. That is how we win by taking over the GOP and voting out all of the Obsolete Neo-con traitors.

Where we disagree is on one simple notion - she feels that Mitt Romney is better for this country than Obama. I completely disagree with her on this. While they are both terrible people, I firmly believe that Romney is much more devious and malicious than Obama. I also believe that in the event that Ron Paul is not nominated at the RNC, that 4 more years of Obama would be better than 8 potential years of Romney. I believe if in power, Romney and the Neo-cons would do everthing in their power to destroy our movement as it is the antithesis of everything they stand for - Lies, Greed, Corruption, Violence, and Oppression of Freedom wherever possible.

We need to focus on taking over the GOP at every level possible, local and state. Where ever there is an election the liberty movement should be inovlved and work together to get the candidates elected. Whether its State Senate or PTA we need to swarm the party and purge the Neo-Con cancer from any type of power or influence.

They know we are coming for them and they are afraid of us... Good. They should be afraid, people are waking up and will not stand for their crap any longer.

GOP 2.0 - The upgrade is coming...

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

We agree, then.

Thanks for clearing things up, Ralphizm.

+1 Nonna...

I wish also for the negatives on Granger to stop. All they need to do, is step back and understand how the process works from her level of involvement with the GOP.

No brainer really. Yes it siphons, but it is what it is.

A Big +1 For You

That was honorable....let's stop the "dumbing down" of the DP.

...Everything CHANGED !!

How?

What can we each do to help?

I think a lot of what is going on here lately is infiltration. Tens of thousands of "guests" every day and only a couple hundred members online. The posts get more and more divisive each hour. Am I imagining things, Danton? Seems fishy to me.

I agree

vote for either Romney or Obama is voting for tyranny. I'm never voting for tyranny.

But I do like that Rand is speaking! Maybe he'll be able to reach some people

Hey Guys ...

... Rand's endorsement was him being honorable -- one of the many qualities we admire in his dad.

When Rand ran for senate, the neo-cons tried to beat him in the primary, but he beat them. During the general election, they agreed to support him *IF* he would promise to endorse "whoever" the GOP nominee would be for president. That turned out to be Romney.

It would not have mattered if it had been McCain or Santorum or Bill Clinton, for that matter. His endorsement was his upholding his agreement, even if that agreement was made with some very disgusting human beings.

Now that the endorsement is out of the way, the neo-cons are probably thinking that putting Rand on the list will be something of value to Ron Paul supports (we know it means nothing, but they are so mired in political strategy that they can't see it).

So, we should keep an ACTIVE mind about this. Ayn Rand said a closed mind is dangerous, but an open mind is just as dangerous because a person with an open mind will accept any stupid, irrational ideas. That is why the irrational philosophers and their followers talk about keeping an open mind.

No, she said, one should keep an ACTIVE mind, which means considering new information and then evaluating it and THEN either accepting it or discarding it.

If Rand Paul's big black mark is an endorsement -- which means absolutely nothing, anyway -- then that does not mean he is not pro-liberty. On the other hand, talk is cheap. He will probably be given a speaking slot that will not be aired on the networks and he will speak in pro-liberty rheotoric which will be NEW to SOME of the people in the audience.

But ...

The ONLY important issues to stay FOCUSED upon are:

(1) Can we get Ron Paul NOMINATED???

(2) Can Ron Paul get a PRIME TIME SPEAKING SLOT TO PROMOTE LIBERTY?

(3) How does Rand Paul actually VOTE in the senate going forward?

Everything else is a dog and pony show, put on by a bunch of neo-cons, who are NOT libertarians and are not even conservatives. They are SOCIALISTS and we should not only never forget that, but we should EDUCATE Republican voters on the TRUTH.

Logic?

It makes absolutely no sense to be angry with or attack Rand for doing exactly what we hoped his father would do. Think about it. Any chance to spread the message of liberty to others is a win.

NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.

I'm thinking about it. I'm trying.

Don't most of our politicians spread the message of Liberty in some way? The problem is that their message is selective. Some parts are great, but other parts are omitted completely or watered down. The watered down version is what we've been getting for many years with our politicians and certainly with most of the talking heads on the airwaves. Selective applications of Liberty is the status quo these days. Will we be hearing from Rand in Tampa about undeclared wars, bringing the troops home, auditing the Fed, and ending the IRS? I do very much hope so. The only version that is sure not to be diluted in any way is from Ron Paul.

I'm not big on using Bible quotes, but this one fits.

Matthew 16:26
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

et tu Rand?

et tu Rand?

"The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that." — Alan Greenspan

Winning !!

Ron and Rand will BOTH be speaking and they will ROCK at Tampa. GO LIBERTY !!!

Absolutely.

If ya can't whoop 'em, join 'em and then take over the whole sheebang. That's been the game plan all along (including the Rand "endorsement") and we are winning. One way or another, we ARE winning. Fight on, Patriots!

JOIN 'EM..TAKE OVER!

Talk about takeovers!...a 1956 takeover of NY MEDIA. LOL!

Thanks, Danton.

Checking the link out now.

Done! What a trip! LMAO!

That they didn't invite Ron says so much.

When I first heard that Ron wasn't invited, I thought, "This will show the rest of the Romney supporters just how sleazy their man is. Ron is more dangerous to the RNC as a martyr than as a speaker." When I heard that Rand "Happy To Support Romney" Paul was going to speak alongside Rick "We Want Inflation" Santorum, it told me more about Rand than anything he could have said directly to my face.

That he has voted for many good things doesn't excuse his voting for sanctions against Iran, which will undoubtedly lead to my brothers and sisters dying and killing in another hateful massacre. That he said his father is his first choice doesn't excuse his endorsement of Mitt Romney. Extremism in the defense of liberty...is Ron, not Rand.

Feel free to listen to what he has to say. As with ALL of those speakers, take it with a grain of salt. One of the most important things to look for in a politician is humility. They are not above you. They are not even equal to you. They are below you. They are your servants, and they volunteered for that position. I know only a very small number of politicians who have said, "I'm sorry. I was wrong."

Michael Nystrom's fists can punch through FUD.

IMO, Rand sold out to the

IMO, Rand sold out to the neocons when he endorsed Romney. I can no longer support the GOP so, after this election, I will officially become an Independent. Hopefully the GOP will go the way of the Whig Party of old.

A neocon love-fest with

a sprinkling of faux tea party mixed in for taste.

You little babies need a pacifier for your Rand Rage

Getting the message of liberty out and changing the minds and hearts of the general people is the goal. Where the heart and mind is the people will follow. Without the majority of people we are lost. Whether you like it or not, we ARE in an information war. And, as long as they control the message, we lose.

Getting more liberty minded people to speak at the convention is only ever a good thing. Rand is the best senator we've got. So stow your Rand Rage and instead try to do something productive to the cause. Your Rand rage isn't helping anything.

Tell me, would you say these things about Rand Paul to Ron Paul's face?

This cowardly bashing has got to stop

No

Because it would be rude to Ron and there is nothing "cowardly" about that. What IS cowardly is trying to stifle opinion about Rands actions. Rand is a public figure, a politician and is making Neocon commitments and in a way that hurts his fathers campaign. If Rand is the "best Senator" we've got, we don't have much. He's sucking up to Rombama.

Great News !!!

I am looking forward to hearing what Rand has to say. I will not rush to judgment. I see it as an opportunity to measure his conviction. That, my friends, is a good thing. Oh and - How about the idea that the reason Team Romney has not invited Ron to speak is that they know he might DECLINE because he knows he can WIN the right to speak unedited? What we have the potential to end up with is a DOUBLE DOSE of Paul speaking slots. HEE HAW!! So up to Tampa, keep the faith and the gas pedal down to the floor.

There is some good comedy on this thread

I mean that genuinely, people are telling some good jokes.

I would bet that any libertarianism out of Rand is limited to a couple cracks at the TSA and maybe lightbulb bans.

I'll bet he'll be forbidden to mention his father's name.

Any talk about the debt, taxes, spending, etc., will sound identical to every neocon speaking and will be rendered benign even if he might mean it more. He might get to mention the word 'liberty', but it too will be beaten like an old whore by the balance of loons on the stage.

There's the paraphrase from Rothbard: "we sold everything for potash, and we didn't even get the potash." I think Rand speaking is our spoon of potash.

NDAA - Perhaps you have forgotten this: http://youtu.be/rghhz_t5POo

IDIOTS!

Anyone remember the story of the trojan horse? You dummies think your going to stand on the outside of the fortress and bang on the iron walls until they just let us in. This movement will die for lack of pragmatism. As for me, Ill be attending my local republican meeting this thursday incognito. You novices must begin to know history better. You should be overjoyed to see Rand Paul speaking. Also I havent seen one word on here about the victory of Ron Paul endorsed candidate Ted Cruz. The guy who fought for our national sovereignty against the Bush administration and the ICC. Ok its your turn now. Aim your negative comments towards me and fire away. IDIOTS!

Aahhh, yes!

"We" must always be "pragmatic", compromise, play ball with the big boys....THEN we'll win! Just be respectful of TPTB.
Except, after all that ball playing, how will "we" be any different from them?

Hurray!

I just up voted a comment calling us idiots!

So is Rand for or against NDAA?

Because Romney supports it 100%... Rand supports Romney and now he speaks on the same stage as a supporter in front of a large TV audience for all to see.

RAND Paul Tries to Fire & Arrest Journalist for Asking questions

NWO Rand has shown his cards more than once....

Luke Rudkowski talks with Abby Martin of MediaRoots.org and RT about U.S. Senator Rand Paul’s attempt to get her arrested and stripped of her press credentials for asking him tough questions in the Capitol building. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtO5INu-VY4 A week after our video with Abby Martin came out on YouTube, the RT office, where Abby works, got an ominous phone call from the Senate Media Relations Committee. The Committee was acting on behalf of Rand Paul and threatened both Abby and the entire RT news organization. The threats included ambiguous “charges” for violating the rules of the Committee floor, Abby’s possible arrest and the termination of her and the entire office’s press credentials.

Let us disappoint the Men who are raising themselves upon the ruin of this Country. John Adams

Luke Rudowski walks the walk.

Luke is a upright brother. He has been arrested and beaten and pushed around and messed with for the Cause. Luke has no reason to make stuff up about who and what Rand Paul is.

In fact, You can see clearly what Rand Paul is, because he was invited to speak at the RNC. And his upright principled prophet/philosopher/apostle of liberty old man sits outside.

Rand Paul ain't one of us. He is one of them, just like Romney.
